The foundation
What is Real Yoga?
Yoga is one of humanity's oldest and most complete sciences of the human being. In the modern world, yoga is often reduced to flexibility, stretching, or exercise. This is not incorrect — it is simply incomplete.
Yoga is not only
- • flexibility
- • stretching
- • exercise
Yoga includes
- • how you think
- • how you act
- • how you treat others
- • how you discipline yourself
- • how you master your mind
- • how you live consciously
The eight limbs (Ashtanga)
Patanjali's Yoga Sutras describe eight interwoven limbs: yama (ethical restraints), niyama (personal observances), asana (posture), pranayama (breath), pratyahara (turning inward), dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation), and samadhi (absorption). Asana is one limb of eight.
A universal science
Yoga does not require you to change your religion, culture, or beliefs. It is a technology of the human system — applicable to every body, every mind, every life.
"योगः चित्तवृत्ति निरोधः"
Yoga Sutras 1.2 — Yoga is the settling of the fluctuations of the mind.
